What is Scrotox?
Scrotox is the use of Botox® to relax the muscular lining around the scrotum. The two muscles are known as the Cremaster and Dartos muscles which respectively control the height and temperature of the testicles. With temperature changes, the body has an instinctive reflex that contracts these muscles. Botox® has a natural relaxation effect that is beneficial to men who have stronger scrotal muscles causing the scrotum to feel uncomfortable and tight. Procedure Overview
This is a quick thirty minute procedure that can be done in our office. The injection site is first cleaned to avoid the chance of infection followed by a local anesthetic to numb the area. The Botox® is then administered in small doses into the muscles surrounding the scrotum with a thin needle to make the procedure as comfortable as possible. There is no downtime after the procedure and results are expected to be seen within a couple of weeks of the injection leaving you feeling more confident with your appearance.
